The first week on the Nutlin trial

1.250mg of R7112 have not been easy on my 86 pound body. The nausea turned from mild to severe and I have been in bed since Sunday. The drug was suspended for two days, Thursday and Friday, so I could catch my breath. Still, even without taking the pills for two days, I could still feel the study drug in my system... in any case I resumed my treatment yesterday and I am being as brave as possible. The truth is that I don't want to the Pharmaceutical company to reduce my dose. Tomorrow, I return to NY, and I will know what will the next step be.
I apologize for my disappearance and promise to be back less nauseated.

E tu, mulher do "rock", aguentas bem o "tranco".

Elsa, I hate that you have to go through all this, right after having relaxing vacation. I hope that the nausea goes away soon.
Have you tried the scent of lemon.....just pass a fork on top of the skin to release the lemon smell and smell it and then you could try lemonade....this we got from a nurse at City of Hope and it helped my husband as well as pink ginger like they sell in sushi restaurant. My husband would alternate and it would help him with the nausea. It wouldn't hurt to try.
I hope you start to feel better and that these pills are doing it's job.
Thinking of you in California

Feel better Elsa! I wonder if the old pregnancy remedy of soda water and saltines would help...

Oh my. I have been distracted by my own issues for ages and am just now catching up on the stories of your wonderful (Lisbon), horrible (surgery, nausea...) summer. I am so hoping that you find some relief for your stomach and some success from the trial. I am pulling for you.

this drug has been working for others so hang in there. did you miss-type your dose? i think it should be something like 125mg rather than 1.25mg

this drug has worked well for others so far so hang in there! is your dose 1.25mg or did you mean 125mg? others have been on doses up to 90mg and it seemed to work for them, so even if you have to take less temporarily to help with nausea, don't be discouraged.
